Syndicating Your Articles
Syndicating Your Articles - Syndicated news used to be saved for only the well recognized and largely read authors. What does it mean to syndicate an article today?
There are
numerous was via the Internet to
syndicate your articles. To
syndicate means you allow others
to use for articles for free as
long as they give you credit.
This is where the RSS or 'really
simple syndication' feeds also
come in. People can write
articles or news and have it fed
live as they write it to those
who are subscribers.
What is the benefit of letting
other people use your articles?
Let's say you write an article
and then within the signature
show a link back to your site
along with the name of your
company. If twenty users reprint
your article, that is free
advertising for you and your
company.
Likewise, if you have a website
and need content, you can go to
these article sites and use the
articles for free and the only
copyright restrictions are that
you leave the authors name and
links on it.
Press Releases operate much the same way. You are sending out information about your company with a direct link and your name attached. Press releases differ in that you are often speaking directly about your business, while with articles you are speaking in general about that which may indirectly tie to your business.
